One of the highlights of my visit to Stockholms län was standing before the majestic Vasa ship at the Vasa Museum. This 17th-century warship, which tragically sank on its maiden voyage, is a stunning testament to Sweden’s maritime history. The intricate details of the ship, from its ornate carvings to its imposing size, tell a story of ambition and the sea’s unforgiving nature. It’s hard to grasp the scale of this vessel until you’re right there, surrounded by its preserved beauty.
